What is CryptoBeacon?

CryptoBeacon is a dedicated Wi-Fi connected display built for crypto traders who want market awareness without constantly checking their phone or switching browser tabs. Select up to 5 cryptocurrencies, set it on your desk, and let it do the watching for you.

It cycles through your chosen coins automatically, showing everything you need to make informed decisions at a glance — price, chart, and the indicators that matter most.

Screen Modes

Overview Screen

The overview screen shows all your selected coins side-by-side — current price, 24-hour change, and a mini trend line for each. A quick glance tells you where the market stands right now.

Per-Coin Detail View

Cycle through each coin to see its full detail screen. Every coin gets its own view with a candlestick chart and the full suite of technical indicators displayed clearly.

Candlestick Chart

A live candlestick chart for the selected coin gives you an at-a-glance read on recent price action — open, high, low, and close rendered directly on the display.

Technical Indicators

Each per-coin detail view includes the following indicators:

EMA — Exponential Moving Average to spot trend direction
Bollinger Bands (BB) — Volatility bands showing price extremes relative to the mean
MACD — Moving Average Convergence Divergence for momentum signals
Fear & Greed Index — Market sentiment score to gauge crowd psychology
Volume — Trading volume to confirm price moves and trend strength

Which cryptocurrencies can I track?

CryptoBeacon supports 20 cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, DOGE, XRP, ADA, AVAX, LINK, DOT, UNI, LTC, BCH, XLM, ATOM, XMR, ALGO, VET, FIL, and TRX. Select any 5 to track simultaneously through the browser-based configuration interface.

How does the screen cycling work?

CryptoBeacon starts on the overview screen showing all your selected coins at once. It then automatically cycles through each coin's detail view — showing the candlestick chart and all indicators for that coin — before looping back to the overview. The cycling interval is adjustable in the configuration interface.

What does the overview screen show?

The overview screen shows all your selected coins side-by-side with current price, 24-hour percentage change, and a mini trend line for each. It gives you the full picture at a single glance.

Which indicators are shown on the per-coin detail view?

Each detail view shows: EMA (Exponential Moving Average), Bollinger Bands, MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence), the Fear & Greed Index, and Volume — alongside the candlestick chart.

Does CryptoBeacon require an internet connection?

Yes. CryptoBeacon connects to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and fetches live market data continuously. A stable internet connection is required for price updates and indicator calculations.

How do I configure my Wi-Fi and coin selection?

On first boot, CryptoBeacon creates its own Wi-Fi access point. Connect to it from your phone or computer, then open the configuration page in a browser. Enter your Wi-Fi credentials, choose up to 5 coins, and set your cycling speed. The device saves the settings and connects automatically on reboot.

Can I customize the firmware or data sources?

No. CryptoBeacon runs signed firmware to guarantee data accuracy, display stability, and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity. Custom or third-party firmware can cause incorrect price data, display glitches, or a non-functional device, and voids the warranty. All supported customization — coin selection, cycling speed, and display preferences — is available through the built-in configuration interface.
